Safety
All Cliffe House teaching staff are fully qualified teachers and are trained in 1st aid. Generally they lead all residential programmes but school staff are encouraged to participate fully in all activities. Cliffe house staff also carry mobile phones and short wave radios in order to be in contact with the Centre at all times. Risk assessments are carried out for all activities and all study/activity sites and these are updated on a continuous basis, even as the activities take place, to take account of changing weather and physical conditions. When a programme is arranged risk assessments are sent out to schools to cover all the activities they are to undertake.
